patients in OPD & performed over 1.7 million major and minor
surgeries.
LRBT treats 1 out of every 3 eye patients visiting OPD in
Pakistan.
LRBT performs 1 out of every 4 eye surgeries carried out in
Pakistan.
LRBT is the major contributor to the reduction in the prevalence
of Blindness which has declined by about 50% since 1989.
In 2008-9 over 1.7 million patients visited OPD in LRBT’s
16 hospitals & 39 clinics and 125,000 major surgeries
were performed. This was a growth of 11% and 6% respectively over last year.
